  • 2 kippered herring, available in cans and also packed in plastic
  • 3 teaspoons butter
  • 2 lemon wedg

Method

  1. Preheat the broiler.
  2. Place the herring skin side down on a baking dish and dot with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  3. Place the herring under the broiler and let cook long enough to become piping hot throughout. Do not overcook. Remove when lightly browned. Heat remain
