Ingredients

  • ¾ cup flour
  • ½ cup flat beer, at room temperature
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Place the flour in a bowl and stir in the beer, salt, and oil. Stir to blend roughly. There should be a few small lumps. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let stand in a warm place about 3 hours.
  2. Stir in the egg yolk.
  3. When ready to cook, beat the white until stiff and fold it in.
