  • 1½ cups (approximately 1 pound) shelled, toasted, hulled hazelnuts or blanched, toasted almonds
  • Butter

Method

  1. Because of the importance of oven temperature, the nuts must be toasted well in advance of proceeding with the recipe. If they are not already toasted, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the nuts on a baking sheet or in a skillet and bake them, stirring them of
