It’s unfortunate that those pre-made seafood salads that you can buy in supermarkets and jars - and that are even served in some restaurants - include baby octopuses that taste like rubber. The fresh stuff is pretty simple to cook and well worthwhile. You hear stories of Greek fishermen bashing octopuses over the rocks to tenderize them. I’m not sure if that really works, as it is the cooking that determines the tenderness; undercooked, octopus is completely inedible.
