This is our version of chicken Marbella, the iconic Silver Palate dish. It’s a bit sweet, a bit spicy, and great either hot or at room temperature—in other words, the perfect dish for easy entertaining. Choose an imported or California dried date for this; softer Medjool dates will disintegrate into the sauce. Organic Turkish mulberries, if you can find them, would be great in this, too.
