Baking and nostalgia, the two seem to go together. I often find myself making the cakes and biscuits I remember from childhood, or the pastries and pies I have baked with friends and family in their kitchens over the years. I saw a mould for chocolate teacakes in the Lakeland catalogue, together with a recipe, and realised I was not the only one experiencing nostalgia for baked treats past, and had to try my hand at them. The lavender is my own addition, and you can readily adapt the recipe
