This is a lovely dessert for a summer Ruby Wedding celebration; in fact, you might consider, for a really special summer celebration, offering a dessert buffet based entirely around roses and strawberries and raspberries, including the previous recipe. Fruit fools, sorbets, ice-creams, jellies can all be made with these soft summer fruits, not forgetting Eton Mess, of course.
