These are the classic little snacks that all kids raid the larder for when they come home from school. They are brilliant if they are fresh.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz (125 g) sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 4

Method

Whisk the sugar and eggs together until fluffy. Now whisk in the melted butter and the orange flower water, and when that’s well mixed add the flour and yeast.

Butter a tart tray and put a couple of tablespoons of the mixture into each hole. Cook for about 25 minutes in the oven at gas mark 5, 375°F (190°C). Allow to cool and gobble them up!
