Method

Peel and slice the bananas, put them in a pan with the onions, dates and vinegar and cook until tender. Beat the mixture to a pulp and add the curry powder, ginger, salt and treacle. Cook the mixture until it turns a rich brown colour. Pour into warmed sterilised jars, cover and label.
