This is quick and easy to make and is ideal for lunch or a swift snack.


  • 1 lb 10 oz/750 g white fish fillets, skinned, washed, and cubed

To make the relish, mix together all the ingredients and set aside in the refrigerator.

Put the garlic, cilantro, peppercorns, chiles, and sugar into a food processor and whiz to a paste.

Add the fish to the paste and whiz in the food processor until smooth, then add the flour and soy sauce and whiz again to combine.
