A lovely, creamy dish that can be eaten either as an appetizer or as a vegetable accompaniment to a main dish.
Mix together the chili, coriander, and turmeric powders and the yogurt with a little water and put to one side.
Heat some oil in a pan and cook the cumin seeds for a few seconds, then stir in the garlic and ginger and stir-fry for a few seconds.
Add the yogurt mixture and the onions, stirring to coat them well.
