Ingredients

  • 400g/14oz stale bread, crusts removed and cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons cold wat

Method

Put the cubes of bread into a bowl and sprinkle the water over the top, stirring well. Cover and set aside

Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a large, heavy-based frying pan. Add the bacon and cook until it is fairly crisp. Lift out with a slotted spoon and set this aside too. Now add 1 choppe
