Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed

Method

Heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until softened but not browned. Add all the other ingredients to the pan, bring to the boil and then lower the heat. Simmer for about 30 minutes, without a lid, so that the liquid reduces and the flavour concentrates. Remember to stir the sauce from time to time. Check the seasoning, adding salt and pepper to taste.
