Ingredients: Juice of 1 orange; 1 bay leaf; 1 teaspoon paprika; Finely sliced onion, orange, hard-boiled egg and banana, to garnish; 2 tablespoons olive oil; 2 shallots, finely chopped; 225g (8oz) tomatoes, skinned and chopped; 1 small green pepper, cored, seeded and chopped; 225g (8oz) long-grain rice; Salt; Freshly ground black pepper; 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley; 1 stick of celery, sliced in half; 3-4 cloves of garlic, peeled but not chopped; 1 large carrot, sliced in half; 1 onion, chopped into 4; 600ml (1 pint) cold water; 225g (8oz) black kidney beans, soaked overnight, then drained
