Included this recipe in my first book, Food From My Heart, but I feel obliged to repeat it here, for it is one of the signature dishes of Oaxaca. Buñuelos are eaten all over Mexico, but in Oaxaca City they are especially associated with the Christmas season and the July festival of the Guelaguetza. At these times foodsellers appear all around the cathedral, many of them offering buñuelos served in pottery bowls with a light sprinkling or a generous dousing of bro
