This recipe is named after Malekhu, a little village located in Dhading, halfway between Kathmandu and Pokhara, which overlooks the Trisuli River. Malekhu is famous for its just-caught fresh fish from the Trisuli River and the road-side restaurants serve delicious deep-fried, smoked, and curried fish.
