A typical dish of Valparaíso and a favourite with young people all over Chile, chorrillana combines French fries with fried onions, steak and scrambled eggs. Said to have originated around 30 years ago in a casino for non-commissioned police officers, it is famously prepared in the restaurant ‘J. Cruz’. No trip to this port town would be complete without this ultimate fast-food feast, said to be the perfect hangover cure.
