This delectable and unique cake comes from Easter Island, where you can find more than 15 different types of banana, varying in size and taste. Bananas are eaten on this remote island during most meals as a vegetable accompaniment.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. Squish the bananas with your hand in a large bowl. Add the grated pumpkin and half the flour and mix with your hands to combine.
