Moshari stifatho is an unusual but mouthwatering dish, with the small pickling-size onions melting in the mouth with sweetness. In Greece, a stifatho is occasionally also made with rabbit or octopus. This is the kind of easy dish that can be left simmering slowly in the oven for hours without coming to any harm. Serve it with boiled rice, pasta, creamy mashed potatoes or fried potatoes.
