The first time I saw someone make coal-roasted bread, I was mesmerized. It was so fast and quick—I had no idea it could be done so easily over the fire. I recommend trying this recipe with your favorite prepared pizza dough, but you can use most flatbread-style doughs. Whatever dough you use, you will need to be able to roll it out easily as you want a relatively thin oval shape to get the result pictured here.
