Traditionally eaten at Christmas, buñuelos are the kind of food you’d find in a home where grandma still does the cooking. They are also sold on the streets, in schools, breakfast kiosks, restaurants and bakeries, to eat with hot chocolate or cold drinks.

  1. Place the cheese in a food processor and process for about 30 seconds, until finely shredded. Add the tapioca flour, cornmeal, sugar and salt to the cheese and mix.
