  • About

This simple rice dish, with its distinctive and unusual sweetness, is eaten mostly in the coastal areas of Colombia, and especially in the old city of Cartagena de Indias, the port of arrival for the Spanish conquistadors. It is served with patacones, lime slices and salad, and can also accompany traditional foods such as black beef or fried fish and other seafood recipes, including soups.
