This recipe originated in my grandmother’s home department of Tolima. It is a delicious way to fill your house with a sweet aroma. Fresh guavas have a unique fragrance, which is enhanced when they are gently and slowly cooked. There is even a book by Gabriel García Márquez called The Fragrance of Guava.
