Break the tough ends off the asparagus. Mix the asparagus, extra virgin olive oil and some sea salt in a bowl. Heat the barbecue to hot and make sure the grill bars are clean. Put the asparagus on the grill bars. Turn the asparagus from time to time to ensure a nice crust forms and they get some good grill marks on them. Cook for about 4 minutes, then remove and put on a plate.
