Broccolini is one of those newer vegetables to Australia that have only been around for a few years. Like many green vegetables, it is great boiled and dressed with extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and lemon juice. It makes a great pasta sauce and is terrific in stir-fries.
Bring a saucepan of water to the boil, add enough sea salt to make it taste like the sea and cook the broccolini at a rapid boil for 2 minutes. Drain and add to a sauté pan with some extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and chilli flakes and toss for about 1 minute. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Remove from the heat and serve.
