No doubt asparagus was introduced to Hong Kong by Westerners who first served the vegetables in hotel dining rooms. Today it is a favourite vegetable, and is most often prepared in the simplest way — that is, stir-fried with garlic, which allows the natural flavour of this wonderful vegetable to dominate. This recipe is quick and easy and works well when served cold. A simple dish, this is a perfect accompaniment to something more complicated.
