Talk about a portable sandwich. All the fillings you enjoy in a club sandwich are rolled into a soft, easy-to-make loaf of bread.

Ingredients

Dough

2 cups tepid water (105°F/41°C)

Method

For the dough, mix together the water, cornmeal, yeast, and honey or sugar and let sit for 5 minutes. Stir in 3½ cups (875 mL) flour, the olive oil, and salt and mix on low speed (if using a stand-up mixer with a dough hook) or stir by hand until the dough comes together. Add the remaining ½ cup (125 mL) flour if the dough is sticky and clings to the side of the bowl. Continue kneading on low s
