Sometimes nothing else will do for a summer supper but a grilled burger. These burgers are fit to impress a crowd with their surprise fillings and accents. They’re virtually dressed and ready to go before you add a single condiment.

Blend together the beef, pork, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, sun-dried tomato, oregano, mustard, salt, and pepper. Divide and shape the mixture into 8 balls. Press a finger into each ball and fill the hole with ¼ cup (60 mL) of cheddar. Close the opening (so the cheese is in the center) and flatten each ball into a generous 1-inch (2.5 cm) patty. Chill until ready to cook.
