These gems look just like the full-sized original. I’ve included instructions for the classic cherry pie here as well, in case that suits your occasion better.

Ingredients

Crust

cups all-purpose flour

Method

For the crust, combine the flour with the salt. Cut in the butter and shortening until the dough has a rough, crumbly texture. Add the lemon juice and 4 Tbsp (60 mL) of the water and blend just until the dough comes together, and if needed adding more water 1 Tbsp (15 mL) at a time to bring the dough together. Shape into a disk (2 disks if making 1 regular pie), wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.<
