The original tiramisu is truly spectacular, but is definitely a labor of love. This homemade pudding has all the key elements of tiramisu but is simpler and more casual.

Ingredients

4 cups 2% milk, divided<

Heat 3 cups (750 mL) of the milk and the instant coffee until just below a simmer. In a bowl, whisk the remaining 1 cup (250 mL) milk, egg yolks, and cornstarch.
