There’s no need to buy hummus when it’s so easy to make at home.
Purée the chickpeas with the garlic, tahini, lemon juice, and olive oil until smooth, adding cold water as needed until you have your desired consistency. Stir in the chopped parsley, season, and chill until ready to serve.
To serve, cut open a pita and spoon in some shredded chicken. Add a spoonful of hummus and sprinkle with parsley.
