I have a sweet tooth, and my brother is my total opposite. He hates cakes, cookies, and all baked goods with one exception: soft, yeasted rogaliki filled with rose petal preserves. If I need his help with anything, I just promise him a batch and he’s there. Rogaliki is an adaptation of Jewish rugelach, which are more common in the United States. Those have a cream cheese dough, which lends them their intense flakiness; in Polish bakeries, you’ll find yeast-leavened ones like t
