This is Suvir’s go-to dish when he needs comfort food and needs it fast. An intertwining of a khitcheree and a biriyani, it’s a kind of layered casserole, but it packs a great spice punch. You can leave the vegetables whole or mash them slightly with a potato masher as with the khitcheree for a smoother texture.
