The pasty – a classic British dish. This is not a traditional recipe because it’s lacking in swede and potato, but it’s unapologetically simple to make and most of the ingredients you’ll already have in the freezer or can grab from a local store. If you can’t find stir-fry beef, then you can slice a steak into strips. It’s also possible to use puff pastry, however, I find that shortcrust is easier to roll again, if you need to. If you’ve got any leftover filling, freeze it for a later date
