When my friend Julie had a deli in Tufnell Park, this was her most popular dish. Julie is an amazing cook – and friend – so much so that she was one of the original MasterChef winners, so I couldn’t turn this recipe down! Essentially a ham and pea pasta, her cheesy peas pasta is comforting and very popular with kids. If you’re serving to children, you can leave out the wine, but it does burn off so there shouldn’t be any alcohol in the finished dish.
