I get really excited about a roast chicken; not only is it one of my fave meats for a Sunday roast, but there are inevitably leftovers that you can use later in the week. And if there’s not, then you’ve still got the carcass to make stock from. I sometimes roast a few potatoes to go with this, however in the warmer weather I often don’t because this feels enough. The peas with the cabbage are a hearty side but the crème fraîche, somehow, always gives me sunnier vibes.
