During my last health kick, I used to have one of these smoothies after doing my couch-to-5k run. If you want a good start to the day, I highly recommend one. I prefer a more savoury smoothie because I find I’m not starving by around 11am. Because it’s heavy on the green veg, the smoothie is not overly sweet so if your banana is not very ripe, I recommend including the honey or maple syrup. If you’re used to a fruit smoothie, this is very different.
