Plain oatcakes may seem a little boring but they make the perfect base for lots of healthy toppings. Try them with a slice of cheese and tomato or for a sweet snack spread with some homemade Chocolate-hazelnut Spread. Delicious!

Ingredients

  • 200 g rolled oats
  • 75 g plain flour, plus extra for dusting
  • ½

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/Gas Mark 6 and line 2 baking trays with baking parchment.
  2. Put the oats in a food processor and blitz to break them down to a coarse flour. Add the plain flour, bicarbonate of soda and butter and blitz
