The sauce is a beautiful red plum colour and very good with duck.
Wash and drain the blueberries. Place 125 g (4 oz) of them in a small saucepan. Mash the berries with a fork, add the lemon juice, cover, and cook at the lowest possible heat to just soften the berries. Add the sugar and cook covered for another few minutes then remove from the heat.
