A homely stew that was popular in Hanoverian England.
Lightly brown the pork belly in a frying pan. Place it in a casserole and cover with the seasoned rabbit pieces, one onion, quartered, cloves, bay leaf and a few peppercorns. Cover with water and bring to a simmer, skim, and either simmer in a low oven or on top of the stove, covered, for about 1 hour.
