  • About

These cinnamon apples taste almost like apple pie filling and are so versatile: They’re great on their own as a naturally sweet snack, topped with Crumbled Granola to make a faux apple crisp, or enjoyed over pancakes or ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 5 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into 12 slices each
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup<

Method

  1. Heat a sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add the apples, butter, and honey and cook for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the cinnamon and nutmeg, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Uncover, stir, and cook an additional 3 to 5 minutes, until the apples are soft and the liquid is syrupy.
