- Plain white flour ½ lb.
- wholemeal ½ lb.
- cream of tartar
- Sift the cream of tartar, bicarbonate of soda, and salt with the white flour.
- Mix it with the wholemeal flour and sugar.
- Make into a firm dough with the water.
- Knead lightly and put it into a greased tin smooth side uppermost.
- Bake in a moderately hot oven.
