Ingredients

  • Cold water
  • 30 quarts
  • brown sugar 12 lb.
  • primroses

Method

  1. Boil the water and sugar together for 10 minutes.
  2. Before it is cold add a peck of primrose petals and
  3. The yeast creamed with a little sugar.
  4. Let it work a few days, stirring it often.
  5. Then put it in a barrel with the primroses.
  6. Keep it close and near the fire.
  7. It must stand a year.
