  • Beef steaks
  • flour
  • pepper
  • salt
  • dripping
  • onions

Method

  1. Beat the steaks a little.
  2. Flour them and season with pepper and salt.
  3. Fry them a nice brown, in a little dripping.
  4. Lift them out, and place them in a fireproof glass oven dish (in former days they were put in a stewpan).
  5. Fry some sliced onions, add a little flour to them, sufficient to take up all the fat.
