This recipe, which was sent by Mr. M. W. Randolph, has been in the Wyndham family since 1740. It is as good to eat to-day as ever.

Ingredients

  • Sharp apples ¾ lb.
  • sugar to sweeten
  • lemon 1
  • eggs

Method

  1. Bake some apples and obtain ¾ lb. pulp which must be put through a hair sieve.
  2. Add sugar to sweeten, and
  3. The grated rind and juice of one lemon.
  4. Beat two whole eggs and the yolks of the other two well together.
  5. Add t
