Ingredients
- loaf sugar ¾ lb.
- water 1 pint
- apples
Method
- Dissolve the sugar in the water and then boil up.
- Boil the syrup to candy height (245°F.).
- Add the pared, quartered and cored apples.
- Wash the lemon and add half the rind grated.
- Boil until quite stiff, keep stirring all the time; and
- Pour into moulds which should first be brushed with a little almond oil
