Mrs. Rycroft, a B.B.C. friend, writes from Cambridge: ‘I wonder if you know of another truly delicious kind of cheesecake called “Egg Curry Cheesecakes?” The recipe was given me half a century ago and came from a family famous as cooks and housewives in their own neighbourhood. So far I have not met anyone who knows of it, but must have written it out scores of times for guests who have so much enjoyed those particular dainties during the last fifty years.’
