  • Brown bread-crumbs ½ pint

Method

  1. Grease and line a sandwich tin with short pastry.
  2. Mix the bread-crumbs, fruit, lemon rind and juice, apple, spice, ground ginger and treacle all together.
  3. Fill the piecrust with the mixture.
  4. Cover with pastry and bake.
