This recipe is said to have been in the possession of the Royal Family from the days of George I.

Ingredients

  • Suet lb. finely shredded
  • Demerara sugar 1 lb.

Method

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
  2. Beat the eggs to a froth.
  3. Add ½ pint new milk, and the brandy.
  4. Use this mixture to moisten the dry ingredients.
  5. Stand 12 hours in a cool place.
