Ingredients

  • Raisins stoned 2 lb.
  • currants well washed 2 lb.
  • sultanas well clean

Method

  1. Mix all these ingredients, except the brandy and beer, all together in a large pan and leave all night.
  2. Stir again next day and add brandy and beer.
  3. The mixture should be stiff and not too moist.
  4. Place in buttered basins, cover with a piece of buttered paper and tie down with cloths.
  5. Boil 8 hours for large puddings
